Jeffrey M. Phillips

Sr. Graphic Designer, The University of Texas at Austin

Jeff is responsible for directing the visual look-and-feel for the Webber Energy Group. He designed the graphics for Energy 101, Dr. Webber’s first massive open online course (MOOC). He also creates visual materials for Dr. Webber’s traditional classroom courses, and motion graphics for the group’s various video projects.

Jeff joined the group in December 2012, after more than ten years in Technical Communications at the Liaison Design Center @ 3M in Austin, where he provided design, illustration, photography and video services to the electrical and communications divisions. Prior to that, Jeff was vice-president and art director for Caviness Advertising in Lubbock, Texas. Also along the way he was art director for Albuquerque MonthlyThe New Mexico Almanac, and Public Communications magazines. While working for the Austin film and video equipment rental house GEAR, Jeff was listed under Special Thanks in the credits for the indie-blockbuster film, Slacker.

Jeff is a graduate of the Moody College of Communications at The University of Texas at Austin, with a degree in Radio-TV-Film.
