Gordon Tsai

Gordon is a fourth year undergraduate student studying Petroleum Engineering, Finance, and Mathematics. He works as an undergraduate research assistant investigating the economics of wastewater treatment for oil and gas. He also works on the economic and energetic impact of ride-sharing, autonomous vehicles, and carpooling.

Gordon’s academic interests include the pipeline for energy infrastructure financing, investing, and the application of AI to energy system optimization. He has previously interned for Hilcorp Energy and ConocoPhillips in Production, Completions, and Reservoir Engineering roles. Gordon has also previously interned at TRP Energy, a private equity backed A&D shop focused on non-operating investment strategies. He currently works for Venture Support, an technology focused investment fund in Austin, and DrillingInfo as an Analytics Intern.
