Research Topic: Assessing Biofuel Potential from Algae in Texas

 

The purpose of this research is to the overall potential to produce biofuels from algae in Texas. The research will conduct a system analysis to model how much algae can be grown in Texas based on available sunlight, CO2 and water. The analysis will also focus on infrastructure constraints, economic impacts and algae's potential to displace petroleum based fuels.
