Research Topic: Novel thermochemical pathways for biofuels conversion
Biomass, including pure ethanol, wet ethanol, vegetable oil, acetic acid (an oil surrogate), pyrolysis oils and algae oil, will be converted to syngas using a porous media reactor. The large scale impacts of the research results and the potential for commercial adoption of the conversion technology will then be assessed.
